The contrast between light and dark is paramount to the aesthetics of my painting. While color is equally as important as contrast, it is through the hue and value of color that a synergetic relationship among color, form and contrast is created. The geometric forms in my work are used to convey space. This illusionary space is produced through the use of foreground, middle ground and background. These geometric corridors and the application of contrast and color allow the viewer to travel to a subjective destination.
