My work is about the infinite possibilities of line and color. My aspiration has always been to merge line and color in such a way that it does not end in representational imagery, but rather opens the door to the poetics of the imagination. I work intuitively, never knowing where the work will lead me as I respond to each mark and color. My drawings reflect the externalization of my inner, invisible world. I am engaged in finding a visceral depth and a quiet rhythm. My abstractions hover between the need to meticulously render geometric shapes and to intuitively express my feelings.
